"SOLD" Tomo Floor Lamps by Toshiyuki Kita for Lumi Italy 1985

Lighting
This rare Postmodern "Tomo" floor lamp was designed for the Italian lighting company, Lumi by the celebrated Japanese designer, Toshiyuki Kita. It features an adjustable halogen reading lamp with a vibrant demilune, lacquered metal shade on the end of a black powder coated arm. This arm is capped at its other end with a bright red plastic sphere that acts as both an on/off switch and dimmer control. The arm sits atop a thick black powder coated pole that curves at the bottom and is fixed to a black powder coated base. The Relco dimmer in-line floor unit itself is housed in a black plastic unit midway along the cord. The lamp is in good vintage condition overall and is fully signed to the base.
